New Year, New Strategy
As we start a year like no other, it's time for a strategy like no other to deal with the inevitable insanity ahead.
We can all be forgiven for some despondency and sense of hopelessness after the November 5 election. After all, prior to Election Day, there was an excitement that liberals and progressives haven’t experienced in a long time, and that excitement was suddenly dashed when the actual election results didn’t align at all with any of the polling or the predictions.
Many among us checked out completely. Some are still checked out.
But the harsh reality is that we’re going to have to develop some world-class survival skills to withstand the next four years and beyond.
I don’t mean to frame this with a gloom-and-doom tone but rather one that reflects a desire to get up and get moving. It’s worth reminding ourselves that taking action can help lift ourselves out of the funk or complacency that so many of us have found ourselves in.
