This week, the Washington Post reported on Trump’s refusal to do interviews where he would be subject to fact checking. He’s also canceled interviews with CNBC, CBS/60 Minutes, and NBC News, among others. He knows he’s lying, and he knows he’ll get caught. He has melted down when even the most gentle fact checking has been done.
In a nutshell, he wants to be able to lie without consequences.
So how, then, does he explain cancelling interviews with friendly outlets? He has even cancelled an interview with the NRA.
It’s being reported that he’s exhausted from campaigning. Kamala Harris has even been calling him out in her campaign events:
